CAPTURING MOMENTS AS THEY HAPPEN
I live in the North West Ireland (Donegal). The landscape has maintains its ancient feel, surrounded as it is by the north Atlantic, mountains and vast amounts of bog land. Culture, music, language and art, are I believe massively shaped by the landscape in which they have been born into and live. What I try to explore in my photography, is capturing in detail this honest, intrinsic nature of landscape, not just the rainbows, sandy beaches and blue sky’s, but in the storms, the changing colours of seasons, the patterns left on wind swept mountains as well as abandoned building,( testimony to the emigration which has effected this part of Ireland for centuries). My work is not geographically restricted to any one area, but is mainly centred around capturing the honest beauty in Untamed landscapes.
